The Wise Old Owl runs two shifts and the right one depends on the goal. The 5pm to 9pm post-work shift catches the Tanjong Pagar crowd and a walk-in lands a counter seat 70 percent of the time on weekdays. The 9pm to midnight shift is the iconic Wise Old Owl experience for a booth with a small-group order and a walk-in works if the group is two on a weekday. After 11pm Friday and Saturday the late-night highball list runs at 18 SGD; this is the right order for the closing shift. Sunday is closed. Tuesday and Wednesday are the easiest nights for a counter walk-in; Friday and Saturday require a reservation 48 hours out.
