Druggists on Tyrwhitt Road is the Little India craft-beer institution. Twenty-three taps in a converted Singapore Chinese Druggists Association building (hence the name), with a beer programme that has been quietly serious for a decade and a kitchen doing some of the most interesting pub food in the city.

Our Take on Druggists
The tap list rotates daily and leans Asian craft (about half the lineup is from Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, or Vietnam) with a strong contingent of US and Belgian imports. The bar runs flights well — S$22 for a four-beer 100ml flight, customer-choice — and the bar staff are unusually well-trained for a small room.
The kitchen punches well above what the building suggests. The beer-friendly menu runs to charcuterie boards, a Reuben sandwich, hand-cut chips with malt aïoli, and a Sunday roast that locals book a week ahead for. The pairings on the menu are not perfunctory; they actually match what the kitchen is sending out.
Druggists is the strongest small craft-beer room in the city. Walk-ins are accepted but the upstairs counter fills quickly after 7pm. Two beers and a small plate is the right ninety-minute order. Save the Sunday roast for a separate trip.
Best time to visit: Weekday evenings before 9pm for the quieter version of the room; weekends after 9pm for the busier one. Reservations recommended where the bar accepts them.
