The Best Rooftop Bars in Dubai

Dubai builds taller than almost any city on earth, which means the best rooftop bars in Dubai operate at altitudes that make other cities' rooftops look like ground floors. We spent three days working through the shortlist, from the DIFC financial district to the Marina waterfront, separating the genuine experiences from the venues that coast on height alone.

The Best Rooftop Bars in Dubai for Skyline Views

The Burj Khalifa changes every rooftop bar in Dubai. If your terrace faces it, you have a view that sells itself. These three bars earn their place on that basis.

01
At.mosphere

On the 122nd floor of the Burj Khalifa, At.mosphere holds the record as one of the highest bars in the world and it knows it. The view is legitimately extraordinary — the city sprawls in every direction at your feet and the horizon curves slightly. The cocktail list is competent and priced accordingly. This is not a bar for a spontaneous Tuesday night; it is a destination. Book two weeks in advance in high season.

Order: The Skyline Martini, a classic gin martini shaken to order with a view that justifies the price

02
Vault Sky Bar

In the DIFC cluster of towers, Vault occupies the 53rd floor of the Index Tower and draws a crowd that has just finished a 14-hour day and needs a drink with altitude. The bar itself is well-executed — a proper cocktail list, knowledgeable staff, and none of the pretension of the hotel bars further east. The Burj Khalifa sits directly in eyeline from the western terrace. Get there before 7pm to secure a window seat.

Order: Old Fashioned with a Burj Khalifa light show as your entertainment

03
Cé La Vi Dubai

The Dubai outpost of the Singapore original, Cé La Vi sits atop the 54-floor Address Sky View Hotel with a terrace that bridges two towers connected by a sky pool. The cocktail program is more ambitious here than in many Dubai rooftops, with a dedicated bartender running seasonal specials alongside the core menu. The energy builds from 9pm onward. Dress code is enforced and worth respecting.

Order: The Asian Mojito, a signature blend of lychee, mint, and Bacardi Carta Blanca

Best Rooftop Bars in Dubai for Marina and Waterfront

The Dubai Marina is a different proposition from Downtown. The scale is more human, the crowds more mixed, and the rooftops feel less like statements and more like bars. These three are the best of them.

04
Siddharta Lounge

Set on a terrace above the Grosvenor House Hotel in the Marina, Siddharta Lounge faces the water and the yacht marina with a backdrop of towers on three sides. The menu draws on Southeast Asian influences and the cocktail list is better than the setting suggests it needs to be. The crowd here is international and notably less formal than the DIFC bars. Best experienced at sunset before the DJ turns the volume up.

Order: Kaffir lime and ginger daiquiri, house-squeezed and properly balanced

05
Iris Dubai

Iris sits on a 26th-floor terrace in Business Bay, overlooking the canal and the northern edge of Downtown. The pool is the centrepiece and tables are arranged around it in a way that makes the whole terrace feel like a resort bar lifted into the sky. The drinks program is straightforward and well-executed. Come on a Wednesday evening when the crowd is a mix of residents and visitors who have not yet discovered the more expensive options.

Order: Frozen mango margarita, made with fresh mango pulp and Olmeca Altos reposado

06
Cabana Rooftop

Not every great rooftop bar in Dubai requires a taxi to a tower. Cabana sits above the JBR Walk, looking directly over The Walk promenade and the Arabian Gulf beyond. It is the most honest bar on this list — no table minimums, no dress code beyond beach-smart, and a drinks menu that stays within the range that residents actually pay. The sunset hour on any evening between October and April is as good as Dubai gets.

Order: House white sangria with fresh berries and a frozen mojito chaser

More Rooftop Bars in Dubai Worth Your Evening

The best rooftop bars in Dubai also include a handful of spots that do not fit neatly into the categories above but that our editors return to consistently.

07
Luna Sky Bar

In the lower-rise Jumeirah neighbourhood, Luna Sky Bar trades skyscraper drama for something more considered. The terrace looks toward the sea on one side and the Burj Al Arab on the other, and the volume stays at a level that permits actual conversation. The drinks program runs to 12 cocktails and a well-chosen spirits list. It draws a predominantly local crowd, which is the most reliable indicator of a bar worth visiting in any city.

Order: Dubai Rose, a rosewater-infused gin cocktail with lychee and elderflower tonic

08
Soho Garden Rooftop

Soho Garden on the Palm is less a rooftop bar and more a multi-level entertainment complex that happens to include a rooftop. The top terrace faces Atlantis and the outer edge of the Palm, and on a clear night the Dubai skyline stretches behind you. The programming is event-driven, with international DJs and themed evenings throughout the season. Book in advance for weekend visits — tables fill within hours of opening.

Order: Pink Negroni with Hendricks Flora Adora and rosewater bitters

09
Zeta Bar and Terrace

In the Hilton Dubai Creek, Zeta occupies a terrace that faces the old city across the water — a perspective that no other bar on this list replicates. The Creek at night has a quieter, more historical quality than Downtown or the Marina. The bar itself is a proper cocktail bar with a serious spirits selection and bartenders who know how to use it. It is the right choice when you want substance over spectacle.

Order: Creek Sour, a house cocktail with arak, lemon, and orange blossom water

10
Cove Beach Terrace

The rooftop level of Cove Beach at Caesars Palace on the Palm faces the open Gulf with the Ain Dubai ferris wheel visible to the north. The crowd is international and well-dressed. The cocktail menu runs to 20 options, with a dedicated low-ABV section that is worth exploring in the heat. Resident DJs play from 6pm onward. The sun lounge chairs fill by 4pm, so arrive with time to spare if you want a prime position.

Order: Arabian Nights, a blend of Moroccan whisky, saffron syrup, and orange peel

Our Verdict on Dubai's Rooftop Scene

Dubai does rooftop bars better than almost any city on earth, but the best experiences here reward research rather than impulse. The hotel bars in Downtown are spectacular but expensive; the Marina and JBR options offer more accessible versions of the same views. Our recommendation depends on your budget: if cost is secondary, At.mosphere. If you want a great evening without a four-figure bill, Vault Sky Bar or Luna Sky Bar will serve you well. For a full overview of all 198 bars across DIFC, Downtown, the Marina, and beyond, see our Dubai Bar Guide.

Book all DIFC and Downtown hotel bars at least 72 hours in advance during the October to April high season. Most require smart casual dress code as a minimum.

Travellers combining Dubai with North Africa should note our recently published Marrakech bar guide, which covers the riad rooftop terraces and garden courtyard cocktail bars that are among the most atmospheric drinking settings in the region.
