About the Team

barsforKings is a small editorial team. We write about bars from the bars themselves — not from press releases or sample kits. Every entry in the guide has been visited and ordered from at least once.

The core team is in London, New York, Tokyo and Lisbon. We work with city correspondents in around 60 markets. Most of us came to this from the bar industry — bartenders, sommeliers, hospitality consultants — before the writing.
