Our Take on Stone Head Beer Garden

The brewery itself sits a three-hour drive north of Bangkok in the wine country around Khao Yai, but the Sathorn beer garden serves the full Stone Head core lineup plus visiting taps from Thai and international guest breweries. The Stone Head Hazy IPA — the brewery's flagship — is on tap permanently and is one of the better hazy IPAs in Asia.

The format is built for groups: long tables, share-style food (German sausages, Thai grilled meats, frites), and pricing that doesn't punish a long Saturday afternoon. Happy hour from 4pm to 7pm puts pints at THB 200. The crowd is mid-twenties to mid-thirties, mostly local with a steady expat contingent.

Stone Head is the right destination for a long social Saturday or a Sunday afternoon. Not for tiny-format specialty pours; absolutely for a serious local craft brewery's full range at the right price in a setting built for it. Music gets louder after 9pm and the crowd shifts to a younger demographic; weeknights are quieter.
