Brewing Project Asoke is the brewing arm of one of Thailand's most respected local craft breweries, operating from a corner space at the Asoke intersection. Twelve house taps, an open brewing window behind the bar, and a kitchen that does Thai-craft pairings unusually well.

Our Take on Brewing Project Asoke

The brewery makes between fifteen and twenty house beers across the year; at any given visit ten to twelve will be on tap. The core lineup includes the Asoke IPA (the bar's strongest call — 6.2%, citrus-forward, properly bitter), the Asoke Pilsner, an oatmeal stout, and a Belgian-style witbier. Seasonal releases (Christmas stout, mango wheat, kaffir lime pale ale) rotate every two months.

The kitchen is the room's quiet feature: Thai-Western fusion dishes that genuinely match the beers. The pork-knuckle-and-stout pairing on the menu is not a marketing gimmick; the kitchen developed it with the brewer over weeks. The Asoke IPA pairs with the spicy salads. The witbier is the right call with the fish dishes.

Brewing Project is the right destination when you want to drink a brewery's full range in one sitting with food that is actually built for it. Two-and-a-half hours is the correct pace; one flight, two pints, two small plates. Walk-ins are accepted; the room fills by 7.30pm on weekends.

Best time to visit: Weekday evenings before 9pm for a quieter version of the room; weekends after 9pm for the busier one. Reservations recommended where the bar accepts them.
