Bangkok has more sports bars per square kilometre than almost any Asian city, but the quality varies wildly. The tourist strips of Nana and Sukhumvit Soi 11 offer screens with no atmosphere and overpriced Chang. The real venues are scattered across Silom, Thonglor, and the expat quarters of Ari and Phrom Phong. We found the 11 that are genuinely worth your time and your money.
Bangkok's Sports Bar Geography
Bangkok's sports bar scene divides into three zones. Sukhumvit is the tourist corridor — large venues built for volume, not for sports atmosphere. Silom is where the long-term expat population drinks — smaller, more serious venues with better screens and more invested crowds. Thonglor and Ekamai serve the wealthier Thai and international professional crowd, with newer venues that take sports programming seriously alongside a strong food-and-drink offer.
The time difference works in Bangkok's favour for Premier League football: Saturday lunchtime kick-offs arrive at 18:30 or 20:30 local time, and evening European games hit at 23:30 or 01:30. The best venues open late specifically for these fixtures. Formula 1 arrivals depend on race location; the Singapore and Malaysian Grands Prix are natural Bangkok events, landing at comfortable evening times. For football first, Bangkok is one of the great Asian sports-watching cities.
Silom Soi 4
$$
Mon–Sun 11:00–02:00
The best British pub in Bangkok and the city's most reliable sports venue. The Robin Hood holds every Premier League package, all Champions League nights, and comprehensive Formula 1 coverage. The Silom Soi 4 location means a genuinely mixed crowd of local and expat regulars — not a tourist trap, despite being easy to find. Guinness is poured well. The fish and chips are the best in Bangkok by a comfortable margin. Screens are positioned so that the bar stools and booths all have clean sightlines.
Silom Road
$$
Mon–Sun 11:00–02:00
The definitive Six Nations and rugby World Cup venue in Bangkok. O'Reilly's holds all the major rugby packages and runs early-morning openings for European weekend games. The three-floor venue has 18 screens including two projection screens on the second floor that are best-in-class for major finals. The Irish staff know their sport — you'll be watching alongside people who care about the result, not just about having something on in the background.
Sukhumvit Soi 33
$$
Mon–Sun 12:00–02:00
The Londoner has been Bangkok's most serious Premier League destination for over two decades. It holds the full package — all 380 Premier League games, all Champions League fixtures, and the most comprehensive domestic cup coverage of any venue in Thailand. The two-floor venue has 24 screens and a proper British pub kitchen that runs until midnight. On Saturdays, the pub fills up three hours before kick-off and doesn't empty until well after final whistles. Book ahead for Arsenal, Liverpool, and Manchester City games.

Sukhumvit Soi 22
$$
Mon–Sun 11:00–02:00
The best venue in Bangkok for NFL, NBA, and MLB. Roadhouse runs the full American sports package and opens at 05:00 on Super Bowl Sunday for the full broadcast. The Texas BBQ kitchen is genuinely excellent — the brisket and ribs are smoked in-house. American craft beers and bourbons feature prominently on the drinks list. The crowd on big American sports nights is a mix of American expats and Thai sports fans who take the NFL as seriously as any Bangkok Premier League pub takes European football.
Ekamai Soi 21
$
Mon–Sun 17:00–02:00
Bangkok's best-kept sports bar secret. Tuba is a furniture-store-turned-bar in Ekamai that fills on Premier League weekends with a genuinely local Thai crowd alongside a smaller expat contingent. The screens are good, the beer is cheap, and the food — Thai and Western sharing plates — is excellent. The atmosphere on big game nights is rare: hundreds of genuinely invested fans in a space that feels nothing like a tourist sports bar. Finding Tuba takes effort. Going back is instinctive.
Westin Grande Sukhumvit
$$$
Mon–Sun 11:00–01:00
The hotel sports bar done properly. Bull and Bear holds every major sports package, serves competent food across its full menu until midnight, and maintains a crowd that actually cares about the sport rather than being there for a generic night out. The cocktail programme is above average for a hotel venue. The 26 screens cover the full range from Premier League to Formula 1 to Muay Thai. The Muay Thai coverage — Rajadamnern and Lumpinee stadiums, live — is something you won't find at most sports bars.
Asok / Thong Lo multiple locations
$
Mon–Sun 11:00–01:00
Bangkok's most reliable budget sports bar chain, with four locations across the Sukhumvit corridor. The screens are good, the coverage comprehensive, and the Mexican-American food is the best fast-casual option in the Bangkok sports bar world. The margaritas are genuinely strong and genuinely cheap. Sunrise Tacos operates as an unofficial community hub for Bangkok's sports-watching expat crowd — the kind of place where you arrive not knowing anyone and leave with plans for the next game.

Thong Lo Soi 10
$$
Mon–Sun 17:00–01:00
Craft beer and Premier League football is a pairing Bangkok got right at The Hops. Thirty rotating tap lines of Thai and international craft beer served alongside comprehensive football coverage in a Thong Lo setting that attracts the younger expat professional crowd. The Hops doesn't try to compete with the big Silom venues on screen count — 14 screens, positioned intelligently — but the beer list is incomparable in the Bangkok sports bar world. Order whatever the Thai craft brewery on tap that week is pouring.
Phra Athit Road, Banglamphu
$
Mon–Sun 18:00–03:00
The best option for late-night European football in Bangkok's Banglamphu area. Spicy is a no-frills sports bar that operates as a genuinely local neighbourhood venue despite being a short walk from the Khao San Road tourist corridor. The screens are better than the decor suggests, the Singha is priced like it's 2015, and the crowd on Champions League nights is as invested as anything you'll find in a London pub. A rare Bangkok venue where the football is the point.
RCA (Royal City Avenue)
$$
Wed–Sun 20:00–03:00
Bangkok's most celebrated entertainment complex hosts UFC and boxing events on its main stage screens. The Route 66 complex — three linked venues covering electronic, hip-hop, and rock — screens all major UFC pay-per-views and boxing world title fights on its main venue screens. This is Bangkok's version of a fight-night bar: big screens, loud crowd, beers priced for volume. The atmosphere on UFC main event nights is unlike anything else in the city.
Sukhumvit Soi 45
$$
Mon–Sun 12:00–01:00
The most atmospheric sports bar in Bangkok on a big Premier League Saturday. Shenanigans has been in this Sukhumvit location for over 15 years and has built a regular crowd that constitutes a genuine sports bar community. The Irish ownership means Guinness is a priority, rugby is taken seriously, and the darts board gets real competitive use on quiet nights. For a single Premier League afternoon, Shenanigans is the most reliably enjoyable venue in the city.
Planning Your Bangkok Sports Bar Night
Bangkok sports bars operate differently from European or American equivalents. Most do not charge covers for regular league games — only for major pay-per-view events like UFC pay-per-views and world title boxing. Premier League, Champions League, and Formula 1 coverage is typically included with your first drink purchase. Table service is standard in the larger venues; walk-in bar seating is available at most but not guaranteed on big match nights.
