Auckland (AKL) is New Zealand's main international gateway and runs an unusually good drinking programme for a single-airport country. The Air New Zealand International Lounge in the international terminal is the polished play — Star Alliance Gold or Air NZ Business required — and runs a serious New Zealand wine programme: Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc, Central Otago Pinot Noir, Hawke's Bay Syrah, all by the glass. The bartender-attended cocktail bar pours proper Kiwi-craft-gin builds (Reid + Reid, Scapegrace, the Lighthouse range).
The Strata Lounge near gate 2 is the Priority Pass option — smaller but well-run, with the same NZ wine focus. The cheat code at AKL is the Naumi Auckland Airport, a three-minute shuttle from the terminal — its bar pours proper Kiwi craft beer (Garage Project, Panhead, Yeastie Boys) and runs a small cocktail programme. If you've got 90 minutes pre-airport, the SkyDrive bus to Britomart takes 50 minutes; Caretaker Bar in the city is the cocktail destination from there.

Better drinking in Auckland proper
Skip the airport entirely. These rooms are worth the cab, even with luggage.
