Our Take on Tegui
· Wine list Tegui is Germán Martitegui's flagship Palermo restaurant and one of the only rooms in the city where the wine cellar is treated with the same intensity as the kitchen. The bar seats inside the gated Costa Rica street entrance allow a drinker to commit to an evening without booking the full tasting, and the by-the-glass programme runs about twelve references, weighted toward small Patagonian and Salta producers that most Palermo restaurants ignore.
Service is formal, the room is quiet, and the cellar holds older Mendoza vintages from the 1990s that you cannot find anywhere else in BA. Ranks seventh because the bar-only experience is limited but the cellar depth is genuinely world-class.
