Our Take on Aldo's
wine · Iconic Aldo's has been the reference Argentine wine bar in Buenos Aires for more than fifteen years, run by sommelier Aldo Graziani out of a brick-vaulted San Telmo room on Moreno that doubles as the city's most thoroughly stocked bottle shop. The list runs to four hundred Argentine references and the by-the-glass rotation alone can carry an entire evening, with weekly verticals of producers like Catena, Zuccardi, Bressia and Mendel poured in flights at prices that would be impossible anywhere outside Argentina.
Aldo himself is on the floor most evenings and will steer you toward whichever Uco Valley vintage he thinks is drinking best this month. Ranks first because no other room in South America matches this combination of national depth, owner-led service and retail-plus-corkage value.
