Fleet Street, Dublin
Dublin's 1843 Literary Pub with 500 Whiskeys
The Palace Bar has been pouring on Fleet Street since 1843 and is one of Dublin's most preserved Victorian pubs. The pub has been a literary institution for generations — Brendan Behan, Patrick Kavanagh, Flann O'Brien all drank here. The whiskey list is one of the deepest in Ireland.
The room is preserved Victorian — original wooden bar, etched glass screens, brass fittings, framed literary memorabilia covering every wall. The Guinness is correctly poured. The whiskey selection runs to around 500 Irish whiskies.
The crowd is heritage tourists, Dublin journalists, and literary enthusiasts. Pair with Mulligans for a complete Dublin literary pub evening.
