A Cocktail Bar That Distills Its Own Spirits
Macera Taller Bar opened in Malasaña in 2014 with a unique format: every cocktail uses house-macerated spirits. The walls are lined with glass bottles holding gin, rum, vodka, and tequila being infused with seasonal Spanish herbs, fruits, and spices.
The bartenders pour from these house bottles into cocktails built on the spot. The flavours are unique to this bar. The cocktail menu is short and ingredient-led. The bar also sells the bottles for take-home.
The crowd is mid-thirties Malasaña locals and curious cocktail enthusiasts. Pair with 1862 Dry Bar a few streets away for a complete Malasaña cocktail evening.
