Little Red Door has been on rue Charlot since 2012 and routinely places in the World's 50 Best Bars list. The room is intimate — leather banquettes, dim lighting, around 50 seats — and the cocktail programme is one of the most conceptually ambitious in Paris.
Each seasonal menu commits to a unifying artistic concept. Past menus have included a Pantone colour palette where each cocktail represented a specific colour, and a typography menu where each drink was named for a font. The drinks are technically precise and the conceptual framing is more than gimmick.
The crowd is mid-thirties Marais locals, visiting cocktail enthusiasts, and the international art crowd. Pair with Candelaria a few blocks away for a complete Marais cocktail evening.
