Palomar — Hawthorne

Palomar is the Buckman tropical-cocktail dive — a Cuban-themed room with leather banquettes, tropical-print wallpaper and one of Portland's most-respected daiquiri programmes.

The cocktail menu leans Caribbean-classic — Hemingway daiquiris, Cuban old fashioneds, an aged-rum programme. The bar carries 100+ rums for a neighbourhood spot. Kitchen does Cuban small plates — empanadas, plantain chips, tostones.
