Café Anzengruber is the heritage 1909 Bohemian café-bar, operating in the same Wieden building for over a century. The room is wood-panelled with marble tables, billiards in the back, and the most unselfconscious literary atmosphere in Vienna.
The beer program runs to 30+ Austrian and Czech taps. Cheap house wine, Czech-style food (goulash, schnitzel). The crowd is Vienna literary-class 30-70.
