Singapore drinks whisky as seriously as anywhere in Asia, and The Auld Alliance leads the field. The six rooms below are the ones we confirmed are open and pouring in 2026.
The Auld Alliance pours from more than 1,000 expressions across Scotland, Ireland, Japan and the US, its list running close to 70 pages. After years at CHIJMES and the Rendezvous Hotel, the bar is moving to Capitol Singapore for its next chapter. Tell the staff what you like and let them teach. Best on a quiet weeknight. For drinkers who want the deepest back bar in the city.
Quaich Bar has carried Singapore's whisky flag for years, now spread across rooms at Waterfront Plaza, South Beach and InterContinental, with more than 500 boutique bottles between them. The team chases rare and distinctive launches, and in 2025 they joined seven bars on an SG60 single-cask collaboration. Go for a guided flight. For drinkers who want range and a crew that keeps finding new casks.
The Wall sits on Tanjong Pagar Road and pairs whisky with Japanese sumiyaki, charcoal grilling beside the dram. The format reorients how Singapore drinks whisky, with food and pour treated as one table. Book a counter seat, order off the grill, and let the bartender match each course. Open Monday to Saturday from 6pm. For drinkers who want their whisky with smoke and skewers.
Tippling Club carries a global reputation from its Tanjong Pagar room, better known for boundary-pushing cocktails but stocked with serious spirits for those who ask. Chef Ryan Clift's kitchen turns the night into a full sitting. Come for dinner and a dram, and trust the bar team's steer. Best with a reservation. For drinkers who want a destination room where the whisky shares the stage.
D.Bespoke keeps a 28-seat, Ginza-inspired room on Bukit Pasoh, jazz low and servers sharp, head bartender Daiki Kanetaka working a list of more than 120 whiskies alongside rare rums and sherries. It sits on the World's 50 Best Discovery roster. Reserve, take the counter, and let Kanetaka pour. Open from 6pm, closed Sunday. For drinkers who want Tokyo precision in Singapore.
The Bar & Billiard Room at Raffles is the longest continuously operating bar in Singapore, and a recent revamp under whisky expert Christoph Nyfeler stocked the shelves with around 450 bottles. The colonial room still holds its old grandeur. Go for the history and stay for the pour. Open Tuesday to Saturday from 5pm, Sundays from noon for brunch. For drinkers who want heritage with their dram.
The six above are where Singapore actually drinks whisky, back-bar shelves with depth, staff who know what they are pouring, and lists that run well beyond Glenfiddich 12.
