Toronto · Luxury District
Yorkville used to be the city's 1960s hippie commune; it became Toronto's most expensive shopping district somewhere in the 1980s, and the bar scene followed. The Four Seasons, the Hazelton, the Park Hyatt — three of the city's highest-end hotel bars are within five blocks of each other. Expensive, polished, the postcard drinking neighbourhood.
Old money meets new money. Reservation-required at the top tier, dress codes implicit. Peak 6pm–11pm; quieter weekends than weekdays (the locals leave town).
