The terrace faces north-east, with the harbour visible past the lower buildings and the Sky Tower behind, and the room is one of the few in the city to use its outdoor heating well enough to function across the autumn shoulder.

The cocktail list — built around Australasian botanicals, seasonal stone fruit through summer, and a small reserve gin programme — has been steadily upgraded since opening, and the wine list now runs serious depth on New Zealand producers. Service is hotel-polished without being airless. The room ranks fourth because it earns its hotel-bar premium honestly, but the cocktail programme is still maturing into the precision that the leaders above already deliver.
