The Eleanor sits on East 4th Street with a wraparound patio and a pair of small inside rooms, easily Austin's most charming neighbourhood cocktail bar with a good Saturday-afternoon programme.
Cocktails lean classic with a Texas-ingredient slant, pecan-fat-washed bourbon, mesquite-smoked old fashioned, a celebrated grapefruit gimlet. Kitchen is small but does a strong charcuterie board.
