Classic and modern classic riffs
Our Take on Dry Wave Cocktail Studio
Dry Wave Cocktail Studio sits on the second floor of SODALITY at 263 Thonglor Soi 13, a short ride from BTS Thong Lo, and it opened in January 2024 already carrying weight. Founder Supawit Palm Muttarattana built his reputation at Backstage Cocktail Bar and Vesper before opening a room of his own.
The space reads as a studio rather than a lounge. Wave patterned walls curve around a fluid marble topped counter that keeps every seat within talking distance of the bartenders, and Difford's Guide flags that open layout as the point, you watch each drink get built in front of you.
The core menu, called Super Classic, merges two classic cocktails from different eras into a single drink while keeping the essence of both. Asia's 50 Best Bars ranked Dry Wave No. 5 in 2025 and gave it the Highest New Entry Award, the strongest debut on that year's list.
Plan on 500 to 600 baht a head per restaurant listings, which lands in the standard range for Thonglor's top rooms. Doors open nightly at 7pm and run later into the weekend, and The Infatuation's Bangkok review pitches it at drinkers who love classics but want them bent into something new.
Arrive on a weeknight for a counter seat before the Thonglor crowd lands after 9pm. For the wider scene, see our Bangkok cocktail bars guide, the best cocktail bars in Bangkok, and the near me bar finder.
