Bangkok's Most Theatrical Hidden Door
Havana Social is hidden in a Sukhumvit Soi 11 alley behind an unmarked door. You enter through a working red phone booth — pick up the receiver, dial a password, and the booth opens into a 1940s Havana themed cocktail room with art deco decor, vintage Cuban music, and a long curved bar.
The cocktails are Cuban classics done well. The Daiquiri is the right first order — rum, lime, sugar, served straight up over crushed ice. The Mojito is built fresh with Cuban mint. The El Presidente is on the menu and is rare in Bangkok.
The crowd is mid-thirties travellers and curious locals. Best for a single themed evening rather than a regular cocktail stop. The drinks are good, but the experience is the door. Pair with the Bangkok hidden gems scene for an evening of unmarked doors.
