El Born's Most Respected Natural Wine Bar
Bar Brutal opened in El Born from the Can Cisa team and quickly built itself into the most respected natural wine bar in Barcelona. The room is small — bare wood, exposed brick, around 30 seats — and the wine list runs to around 100 European naturals with a strong Catalan focus.
The kitchen produces small Catalan plates that pair thoughtfully with the wines. The food is precise and the kitchen is genuinely good. Standing room only after 20:00, when the bar fills.
The crowd is mid-thirties Barcelona locals and visiting wine enthusiasts. Pair with Quimet i Quimet for a complete Barcelona wine and tapas evening.
