Barcelona's Heritage Vermouth Specialist
Casa Mariol is run by the Mariol family, who produce vermouth in the Catalan countryside since 1947. The Barcelona Eixample bar serves their house vermouth on tap, alongside their wines and a small Catalan tapas menu.
The vermouth is the focus. Mariol produces three styles — white, red, and reserva — and the bar pours all three. The vermouth is served the proper Catalan way: ice, olive, slice of orange, and a soda splash.
The crowd is mid-thirties Barcelona locals and visiting wine and vermouth enthusiasts. Pair with Casa Macareu in El Born for a complete Barcelona vermouth afternoon.
