Wine on a Terrace Overlooking Santa Maria del Mar
La Vinya del Senyor is a small wine bar in the Plaça de Santa Maria, directly overlooking the Santa Maria del Mar church — one of the most beautiful Gothic churches in Barcelona. The terrace is one of the great Barcelona drinking spots and the bar inside is small and warm.
The wine list is mostly Spanish with a strong Catalan focus. Around 30 wines by the glass, including serious Priorat, Penedès, and Empordà options. The bar is small and the bartender will recommend by style.
The crowd is mixed Barcelona locals and tourists drawn by the view. Best in the late afternoon when the terrace catches the sun. Pair with Bar Brutal nearby for a complete El Born wine afternoon.
