Buck and Breck has been ranked in the World's 50 Best Bars list for years. The bar is hidden behind an unmarked door on Brunnenstrasse — ring the bell, give your reservation name, and you are admitted to a 12-seat room around a long marble bar.

Gonçalo de Sousa Monteiro runs the cocktail programme and the discipline is total. Hand-cut ice, slow precise stirring, immaculate dilution. The cocktail menu is short and rotates seasonally. The Buck and Breck Manhattan is benchmark.
