Berlin's American Whiskey Bar
Stagger Lee is in Schöneberg and is committed to American whiskey. The back bar holds around 200 bourbons and ryes alongside a smaller Scotch and Japanese selection. The room is themed 1920s American — leather banquettes, brass fittings, jazz at low volume.
The cocktail programme is whiskey-led classical. The Old Fashioned uses premium bourbon by default. The Manhattan, Sazerac, and Boulevardier are all benchmark. The bar is named for the 1895 St Louis murder ballad.
The crowd is mid-thirties Berlin professionals and American whiskey enthusiasts. Pair with Lebensstern in the same neighbourhood for a Schöneberg whiskey-and-cocktails evening.
