Our Take

A Cocktail Wunderkammer in a Former Brewery

Le Croco Bleu is in a converted former Bötzow brewery in Prenzlauer Berg. The room is committed to a Wunderkammer aesthetic — vintage taxidermy, antique scientific instruments, leather banquettes, dim lighting — and the cocktail programme is serious.

The drinks are precise and the seasonal menu rotates four times yearly with thoughtful originals. The room itself is a destination — the building's brewery heritage and the curated decor make it one of the most photographed bars in Berlin.

The crowd is mid-thirties Prenzlauer Berg locals and visiting cocktail enthusiasts. Pair with Becketts Kopf in the same neighbourhood for a complete Prenzlauer Berg evening.
