Velvet Bar opened in Mitte in 2017 and built a reputation for thoughtful seasonal cocktail programmes. The room is small and modern, pale wood, soft lighting, around 30 seats, and the back bar runs deep into unusual European spirits.
The seasonal menu rotates four times yearly with thoughtful originals using lesser-known European spirits. The bartenders explain each ingredient's provenance. The classical cocktails are also precise.
