Our Take

Los Galgos — Almagro

Los Galgos is the heritage Almagro bodegón that's been pulling locals since 1930 — wood paneling, tiled floor, original brass fittings, and one of Buenos Aires's most loved heritage drinking rooms.

The format is true bodegón — fernet-and-coke, Quilmes on tap, Argentine wine by the glass, a short menu of bistro classics (milanesa, tortilla, provoleta). The crowd is mixed Almagro-locals and pilgrim drinkers.

Walk-in only. Cash or card. Heritage bar — no pretensions.

What to Order
Fernet and Coke
Argentina's drink. Long-pour, ice, lime. The Los Galgos standard.
Provoleta
Pan-seared provolone with oregano. The Argentine bar-classic.
1930 Heritage
Original wood paneling, tiled floor, brass fittings. The architectural calling card.
Argentine Wine-by-glass
Malbec, Bonarda, Torrontés. Strong regional list.
