Yacht Club is the Berkeley-neighbourhood tropical-cocktail dive — bamboo-panelled walls, plastic flamingos, a small jukebox with an honest tiki-and-tropical programme that doesn't take itself too seriously.
Cocktails are tiki-classics done well — Mai Tai, Painkiller, Jungle Bird. The bar carries 60+ rums for a neighbourhood spot and the bartenders know their tropical-spec. Snack menu is short — fries, tinned-fish board, popcorn shrimp.
