Toners has been pouring on Baggot Street since 1818 and is one of Dublin's most preserved heritage pubs. WB Yeats was a regular. The pub features intact original snug rooms — small private rooms separated by frosted glass partitions, an Irish Victorian feature now rare.
The Guinness is excellent. The room is preserved Victorian — long wooden bar, dim warm lighting, brass fittings. The whiskey list is respectable. The pub functions as both a working local and a heritage destination.
The crowd is mid-thirties Dublin professionals and heritage tourists. Pair with The Palace Bar for a complete Dublin heritage pub evening.
