Mutter is St Georg's most precise natural wine bar, a small candlelit room with a deep rotating list of small German, Austrian, and Italian producers. The plates are simple, sourdough, charcuterie, fish from the Hamburg fish market that morning.
The wine list runs 150+ bottles deep with a focus on Riesling, Grüner Veltliner, and natural Italian reds. Bartenders are sommeliers, they will pour two or three tastings before you commit to a glass. Standing-only at the counter, six tables in the back room.
