Our Take on The Poolside at RSVP
RSVP opened at 9 Eletu Ogabi Street in Victoria Island in November 2014, built on the industrial luxe look of prohibition era Manhattan restaurants. One year later to the day, the team launched The Poolside, the open air bar and lounge hidden behind the dining room.
The Poolside runs as its own venue, a music led outdoor lounge wrapped around the pool, more casual than the restaurant but designed with the same detail. Access is 21 and over, and the World's 50 Best Discovery list includes RSVP among Lagos's essential addresses.
Cocktails lead the list, mixed to match the Manhattan premise, with Champagne and spirits carrying the late hours. Businessday's review calls RSVP the perfect Friday night and credits the drinks and service as the reason it holds the crowd.
The crowd is Victoria Island's after work and weekend set, dressed for the room, and DJs run the energy from early evening. Walk ins work, but reservations through the restaurant are the safer Friday play.
Book a Friday table and drift from the dining room to the pool as the DJs take over. For more of the city, see our Lagos cocktail bars guide, the wider Lagos bar guide, and the near me bar finder.
