Plan Your Visit
Walk in any open evening. The garden is the prize on warm days and fills fast, so arrive early on weekends. Ask which Brick specials are pouring, since the seasonal lines change often.

Brick Brewery's taproom sits in a railway arch on Blenheim Grove, steps from Peckham Rye station, pouring the brewery's beers fresh from the source across around 20 lines. It started as a small Peckham microbrewery and grew into one of south east London's anchor craft names. The taproom is unpretentious, with a secluded beer garden out back and pizza by the slice from a resident kitchen.
This is a bar for drinking local beer at its freshest in a relaxed neighbourhood setting. It suits a sunny afternoon, a casual group or a beer first date, and it is less suited to anyone after cocktails or a quiet sit down dinner. The Peckham Pale and the rotating specials are the reason to make the trip.
The Room
The arch is functional and friendly, with cask and keg lines along the bar, can fridges, and indoor and outdoor space that spills into a secluded garden. CAMRA lists the taproom as carrying around 20 draught lines including cask, alongside guest breweries. World Famous Gordos runs the pizza by the slice operation on site.
Peckham context is the appeal. The taproom anchors a stretch of arches near the station that has become a south London drinking destination, and Brick's home advantage means the beer is as fresh as it gets.
The Drinks
Brick's own beers lead, with Peckham Pale the flagship and Peckham IPA, Pils and Rye filling out the core, plus seasonal specials and guest taps. Pints sit around 6 pounds. There is cask as well as keg, which sets it apart from many newer taprooms. Order the Peckham Pale first, then chase a special the bar recommends. Add a slice of New York style pizza and you have a full Peckham evening.
What to Order
The Crowd & Vibe
A local Peckham crowd fills the arch, a mix of beer fans, neighbourhood regulars and weekend visitors working the station arches. Warm afternoons pull the garden to capacity. The mood is laid back and chatty, the dress is casual, and groups feel at home.
What Regulars Say
- Drinkers rate the beer as some of the freshest in south London, given it is poured at the brewery.
- Reviewers love the secluded garden on sunny days but note it fills quickly on weekends.
- Regulars praise the mix of cask and keg and the Gordos pizza slices as the full package.
Best Time to Visit
A warm Saturday afternoon in the garden, or a Friday evening as the arch fills after work.
