Tayer + Elementary opened in 2019 from Monica Berg and Alex Kratena, both World's Best Bartender winners and previously of Pulpo Negro and Artesian. The space is deliberately split: Elementary is the casual walk-in front room with eight seasonal cocktails on rotation. Tayer is the 16-seat tasting bar at the back where Berg runs an evolving cocktail tasting menu.
The Tayer tasting menu is unique in London, five courses of cocktails paired thematically, often referencing food and chemistry research. Each round is technically precise. The pairing is around £85 and books out a month ahead.
