Our Take

Skyline Drinks on Level Eleven of QT Melbourne

Rooftop at QT sits on level 11 of the QT Melbourne hotel at 133 Russell Street, looking out over the CBD skyline. The bar relaunched after a spring revamp, which Concrete Playground covered, leaning into a greener, more planted look alongside the views. Visit Melbourne lists it among the central rooftop options worth the lift ride.

This is a view first bar where the room is dressed for golden hour. The Mediterranean leaning menu of small plates is built to graze over a couple of drinks rather than a full dinner. If you want a dark hidden cocktail den this is the opposite of that. If you want skyline and sun, it earns the trip up.

The Room

The level 11 terrace mixes planting with open city views, and the spring refit added more greenery and softer seating per Concrete Playground. The best seats face the skyline, so arrive before sunset on a clear evening to claim one. The space is exposed, which makes warm nights the sweet spot.

The Drinks

The cocktail list runs around A$24 and skews bright and aperitivo friendly to match the Mediterranean menu. Sparkling and spritz style serves suit the terrace, and the kitchen sends out small plates designed to share across a table.

Because it is a hotel rooftop, service is steady and the list is approachable rather than experimental. Order a spritz, a few plates, and let the view do the heavy lifting. Friday and weekend afternoons are the busiest windows.

The Crowd

A post work and pre dinner CBD crowd through the week, shifting to a dressier weekend set. Sunset is the peak, and the terrace is busiest on warm Friday and Saturday afternoons.
