Osaka's Senior Whisky Bar
Bar Augusta Tarlogie has been operating in Kitashinchi since 1974 and is the senior whisky bar in Osaka. The basement room is preserved Showa-era and the bartenders are obsessively knowledgeable about whisky.
The 600-bottle list runs deep into Japanese single malts, including some pre-1980 Yamazaki and Karuizawa bottles. The Scottish coverage is also serious. The bartenders organize tasting flights by region, distillery, or style.
The crowd is older Osaka whisky enthusiasts and visiting whisky tourists who came specifically for this bar. Pair with Bar K for a complete Osaka whisky evening.
