Schouskjelleren is a microbrewery and pub in a vaulted 19th century cellar in Grünerløkka. The room is dramatic, exposed stone walls, low ceilings, dim warm lighting, and the brewery produces around 12 house beers brewed on site.
The beer is genuinely good. House beers include a few sours and a saison that locals queue for. The food is German pub-style and surprisingly excellent. Among the best value drinking in central Oslo.
The crowd is mid-thirties Grünerløkka craft beer enthusiasts. Pair with Crow Bar for a complete Oslo craft beer evening.
