Schouskjelleren is a microbrewery and pub in a vaulted 19th century cellar in Grünerløkka. The room is dramatic — exposed stone walls, low ceilings, dim warm lighting — and the brewery produces around 12 house beers brewed on site.
The beer is genuinely good. House beers include a few sours and a saison that locals queue for. The food is German pub-style and surprisingly excellent. Among the best value drinking in central Oslo.
The crowd is mid-thirties Grünerløkka craft beer enthusiasts. Pair with Crow Bar for a complete Oslo craft beer evening.
