wine · Iconic Territoriet on Markveien has been the unchallenged reference Norwegian wine bar since opening in 2013, run by Tina Hytten Bell and a team that built one of the deepest natural-wine programmes in northern Europe inside a country where the state monopoly makes that genuinely difficult. The list runs over six hundred references with twenty-five by the glass; the bar sources direct via import partner Solera and the producers — Anders Frederik Steen, Le Casot, Frantz Saumon, Sandhi — appear with vintages most Paris natural bars do not stock.
Standing-only on weekends, the kitchen is a small charcuterie counter. Ranks first because no other northern European room demonstrates this convincingly that the tax regime can be transcended through buying conviction.
