Prague's 1702 Pilsner Heritage Pub
U Zlatého Tygra — meaning 'At the Golden Tiger' — is a heritage Prague pub from 1702. The bar serves only one beer: tank-poured Pilsner Urquell from refrigerated tanks rather than pressurised lines, producing the most authentic Pilsner taste anywhere.
Bohumil Hrabal — the Czech writer — was a regular here for decades. President Bill Clinton drank here with Václav Havel. The room is preserved 18th century — long communal tables, beamed ceilings, dim warm lighting.
The crowd is heritage tourists, Prague regulars, and beer pilgrims. Cash only. Pair with Lokál for a complete Prague tank Pilsner evening.
