True Laurel — Mission

True Laurel is Nick Balla's Mission cocktail-and-restaurant from the Lazy Bear team — a tight cocktail programme that punches well above the casual neighbourhood-bar appearance.

The cocktail menu rotates seasonally with about a dozen drinks plus a serious wine-by-the-glass list. Kitchen is California-Eastern-European with a celebrated chicken-paprikash and a strong vegetable programme. Bar seats are the proper place.
