Our Take on Corrutela
· Wine + cuisine Cesar Costa's Corrutela has always been a restaurant first, but the eight-seat bar in front of the open kitchen is now one of the more interesting wine perches in Vila Madalena. The programme leans hard into biodynamic Burgundy, Auvergne reds and a small but stubborn section of Brazilian skin-contact whites from Vinícola Aurora's experimental line.
By-the-glass moves with the kitchen's seasonal menu — a glass of Marc Soyard alongside the slow-cooked lamb shoulder, a Jura-style Brazilian Savagnin with the cured mackerel. Service is led by sommelier Patrícia Lacerda, who trained at L'Arpège and Maní before coming home. Seventh because the wine programme works as a stand-alone destination at the bar, and because the food pairing remains the best in the neighbourhood.
