What Schroedinger Is
A two story old house at Kiril i Metodiy 1 near Lavov Most, with two gardens, a small stage, and rooms designed by artists. Schroedinger opened in spring 2021 after a pandemic delay and runs as Sofia's gentlest hybrid of bar and culture venue.
Co founder Evgenia named it for the physicist's cat. “You can be completely unhappy and at the same time happy,” she told the Bulgarian site momichetata.com.
Cocktails run 12 to 20 lev. No entry fee, even on stage nights.
Reading the Room
A green front garden, a colorful back yard, and artist designed rooms upstairs that rent out for rehearsals, book clubs, and birthdays. Physics jokes hide in the details.
The stage is small on purpose. Recent bookings run from Jazz Tuesdays to the Georgi Kornazov 3 Generations Quartet and tango nights.
