Our Take on Scotland Yard
Mere puiestee 6e stands where the Rotermann quarter's brick warehouses meet the road down to the harbor, and Scotland Yard fills its ground floor like a Victorian police library that took up drinking. In Your Pocket calls it an absolute monster of a pub and means the square meters.
The commitment runs deep: old books and police memorabilia on the walls, a working fish tank, and toilets done up like electric chairs, a detail In Your Pocket records with apparent respect. Visit Tallinn counts 170 seats inside, 46 on the terrace, and one of the largest sports screens in the city.
Bands play through the week, Tuesday to Saturday by In Your Pocket's count, and the kitchen runs late. A Tripadvisor reviewer this March kept it simple: come for the cheese balls and the fish and chips.
Reading the Room
A very nicely decorated bar which reminded me of bars in London, wrote a Tripadvisor reviewer in February 2026. Large and quite crowded, the same review continues, which is the room in six words.
The interior shows its age in places, a March 2026 reviewer notes, but the food side holds up, and the scale means a table usually exists somewhere.

Who Shows Up, and When
After work tables early, then a pre club shift as the evening builds. In Your Pocket advises grabbing a seat when you can before heading out to one of the numerous clubs in the area.
Big screen nights pull the sports crowd off Mere puiestee; band nights pull everyone else. One longtime visitor on Tripadvisor felt prices have crept up on the room's old value.
