Copenhagen Kastrup is one of those rare airports where you don't immediately resent being early. Nordic Chef Bar in Terminal 2 (post-security, near gate B) runs a small but ambitious cocktail programme using Nordic spirits — aquavit, Danish gin, the Mikkeller beer range — and a working open-faced smørrebrød counter alongside.

The cheat code at CPH is the Hilton Copenhagen Airport, directly attached to Terminal 3 by walkway — Horizon Bar on the upper level pours competent cocktails on the modern Nordic spec (Brennivin negronis, aquavit-based builds, the Danish craft-beer rotation). Walking time: three minutes from immigration. If you've got 60 spare minutes pre-airport, the metro from Lufthavnen to Kongens Nytorv takes 14 minutes; Ruby in the cellar of Nybrogade is six minutes' walk from there and one of Copenhagen's best cocktail bars.
