Our Take on Dignita
list · Modern Dignita is the unlikely entry on the list — a daytime-leaning room near the Vondelpark whose evening wine programme has become genuinely interesting since chef-partner Tessa Hupkes took over the buying in 2024. The list runs Italian-led, with Etna reds, Friulano from Bressan, and a small but serious orange-wine section that avoids the obvious.
The wider mission is social — profits go to Not For Sale, which funds anti-trafficking work — so the cellar will never chase trophy producers, but within its budget the curation is sharp. Ranks seventh because the programme is shallower than those above and the room empties before midnight, but on the right Tuesday it is the city's best-value glass.
