Amsterdam's Most Famous Hidden Cocktail Bar

Door 74 opened on Reguliersdwarsstraat in 2009 and remains the most famous hidden cocktail bar in Amsterdam. The entrance is an unmarked black door — you ring the bell, give your reservation name, and they admit you to a 30-seat speakeasy with leather banquettes and dim warm lighting.

The cocktail programme rotates four times a year and is one of the better quarterly menus in Europe. Each menu commits to a unifying concept — past menus have included classic eras (1920s, 1950s) and ingredient deep-dives. The drinks are precise.
