Lay Low is exactly what the name promises. Tucked into a converted shophouse off Sukhumvit Soi 26, the bar runs on brass fixtures, oxblood leather banquettes, and a single curved counter where two bartenders work without rush. Open since 2019, it has built a quiet local following without ever advertising.
Bookings are taken direct through the bar or through Hungry Hub for parties of four or more.
The cocktail list is short on purpose. Eight signatures, the classics on request, and a rotating bartender's choice that changes every two weeks. Drinks lean toward stirred, low-acid, dark spirits. The bar takes ice and dilution seriously, and the bartenders will gently steer you off whatever you ordered if there is something better suited to your taste.
Prices sit at ฿340-420, which is the sweet spot for Bangkok: serious cocktails, civilised room, no rooftop premium. The crowd is older than most Sukhumvit bars, mostly mid-30s upward, often in pairs. Music stays low. Conversations are possible. This is not a discovery bar; it is a return-to bar.
