Bangkok's Most Photographed Rooftop
Sky Bar at Lebua became globally famous after The Hangover Part II filmed here in 2011. The 64th-floor open-air bar has one of the most spectacular Bangkok views — directly over the Chao Phraya and toward the Silom skyline. The dome bar at the centre of the rooftop is the most photographed bar in Bangkok.
The cocktails are tourist-priced and not the reason to be here. Order the Hangovertini if you must — created for the film and still on the menu — but understand the experience is the view and the height, not the drinks. The Old Fashioned is the safest bet.
The crowd is overwhelmingly tourist. Locals rarely come here. For a more serious cocktail rooftop with similar views, Octave at the Marriott is a better choice. Sky Bar earns its place once: as a bucket-list visit. After that, the city has better options.
