Our Take on La Divina
merchant · Iconic La Divina Enoteca on Via dei Ginori is the wine-merchant model done correctly — a retail shop with a counter that opens for tastings most evenings, run by the Bartolozzi family since 2001 and stocked from a cellar that goes considerably deeper than the small Oltrarno rooms can manage. The Brunello section runs to over thirty producers including older vintages of Biondi-Santi, Soldera and Salvioni; the by-the-glass rotation hovers around fifteen references and turns weekly.
The kitchen is a board of pecorino and finocchiona. Ranks third because the cellar breadth is unmatched in central Florence and the retail-plus-corkage model keeps prices honest in a way the destination wine bars cannot match.
